AVISMO Aesthetics & Skin began with a name that held deep personal meaning. Originally formed from the initials of founder Karen’s daughter, AVISMO reflected what mattered most at the very beginning, love, care, and a deep sense of responsibility. It was never intended to be just a name, but a reflection of values that felt instinctive from the start.

As time passed and the clinic grew, so did the meaning behind AVISMO. What began as something personal evolved into a clear philosophy that now defines everything we do;

Founded by Karen in 2014, AVISMO started as a small, nurse-led practice built on a commitment to evidence-based treatments, patient safety, and natural-looking results. As demand for safe, medical-led aesthetics grew, so did the clinic.

In May 2025, Lorna joined the team, supporting the continued growth and development of the practice. To meet increasing demand and enhance the patient experience, AVISMO moved to larger premises in July 2025, marking a significant milestone in its journey.

In October 2025, AVISMO’s commitment to safety and clinical governance was formally recognised when the clinic achieved Save Face accreditation, following a rigorous independent assessment of training, clinical standards, the treatment environment, and patient care.

Later that year, in December 2025, Andrea joined the team, expanding AVISMO’s offering through her extensive nursing background and holistic approach to wellbeing.

In January 2026, AVISMO was proudly recommended by The Tweakments Guide, a selective and independent resource founded by journalist and aesthetics expert Alice Hart-Davis, recognising clinics that meet the highest standards in medical aesthetics.
