Anti Wrinkle Injections

Botulinum toxin, often referred to as Botox®  is a naturally occurring protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. The toxin blocks the transition of chemical messages sent from the nerve to cause the muscle to contract. Without these messages, the muscle stays in a resting state until the ‘messengers’ recover. This recovery takes approximately 8 to 12 weeks on average. Anti-wrinkle injections are used to smooth lines and wrinkles for a younger, more rejuvenated look. They are most often used to treat; Frown lines, Worry lines and crows feet.

Dermal Filler

Dermal fillers are a multi-functioning treatment and can be used to reduce deep lines and wrinkles, fill hollows and smooth the contours, as well as adding or restoring volume to areas of the face such as lips or cheeks.

Profhilo

Profhilo is made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar chain molecule found in skin and throughout the body, identical across species. Hyaluronic acid attracts and binds water in the skin, providing volume and hydration, but also ‘cushions’ and supports collagen and elastin fibres and also provides a medium, or carrier, for the efficient transport of chemical messages between the cells. Profhilo contains a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, exceptionally pure because its unique and patented manufacturing process does not involve the use of chemical cross-linking agents to bind the chains. Profhilo is injected into the skin in a specific pattern depending on the area to be treated. Two treatments are required, 4 weeks apart.  The first to stimulate, the second to ‘boost’ and ensure longevity.  In some cases and depending on your initial skin quality, you may benefit from a third treatment, typically 8 weeks from your second treatment.

Profhilo Structura

Structura is a groundbreaking injectable treatment that has been developed to lift, contour and rejuvenate the facial profile by targeting superficial fat layers in the face. Polynucleotides are new concept of regenerative medicine, which promote cell turnover, improve skin elasticity and hydration, heal sun damaged skin, and improve photoaging and acne scarring, giving a more nourished, healthy, and revitalised complexion. Radiofrequency Microneedling

RF microneedling delivers radiofrequency energy into the skin through microneedles of varying lengths, which have been insulated, so that the RF energy emerges just at their tips.

Both radiofrequency and microneedling do very similar things, namely boosting collagen and elastin production in the skin. Radiofrequency stimulates our body’s cellular responses using heat, which helps tighten existing elastin and collagen at the same time as boosting new collagen. Microneedling creates a controlled injury, which stimulates the body’s wound healing response, once again kick-starting fibroblast activity, resulting in tightening and boosting of new and existing collagen and elastin. A course of 3 sessions is usually recommended.

ProFacial

A ProFacial Express treatment cleanses, exfoliates, and hydrates the skin on your face thoroughly using strong vacuum suction and a combination of glycolic, lactic and salicylic acids. The treatment removes all dirt and oils from the patient’s pores (you can actually see this during the procedure!) before hydrating ingredients are infused into the skin. Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy (also known as Cryosurgery) is a safe and highly effective method of freezing and removing benign skin lesions such as skin tags, moles, pigmentation, milia, solar lentigines (sunspots, liver spots etc.), seborrheic keratosis, warts and verrucas. Appointments are for a consultation and if the lesion is straightforward then a ‘see & treat’ approach can be taken. 

(Any moles or suspicious lesions will need to be assessed using the map my mole service or a GP/Dermatologist letter will be required)

Map My Mole has been designed by dermatologists to meet the increasing demand for skin lesion assessments. Dr Toby Nelson, Founder of Map My Mole: “The aesthetics industry is perfectly placed to help people with skin lesions of concern. Some people want a mole checked for signs of cancer but struggle to see their GP.” 

What Is Map My Mole?  Map My Mole allows us to access UK consultant dermatologists for an opinion within 24 -48 hours. Images are reviewed by experts in the field, and reports ensure detailed explanations are provided. If a mole is concerning, the dermatologist will inform the patient providing them with a report that can be sent to their GP to speed up any referral. 

Dermaplaning

The process of gently removing the top layers of dead skin cells which may include evidence of scars and blemishes. We will finely skim the surface of your skin using a fine exfoliating blade. As well as removing the top layer of skin it will also remove any vellus hair, otherwise known as the ‘peach fuzz’ hair on our faces.

Platelet Rich Plasma

Also known as ‘The vampire face-lift’, and ‘Dracula therapy’. 55% of blood is made up of plasma. Plasma is a straw coloured liquid rich in platelets, white blood cells, stem cells, proteins, minerals, ions ,growth factors, and chemical messengers; all important for healing and repair. In order to separate and concentrate the plasma, a sample of the recipient’s blood is taken and ‘spun’ in a machine, the red blood cells sink to the bottom; the plasma rises to the top. The concentrated plasma contains key components of tissue repair and regeneration, taken from the recipient, PRP is injected into the skin to stimulate the formation of new collagen and elastin. The results develop over a period of months, improving skin tone and elasticity. PRP is also used for hair loss as stimulates the hair follicle. PRP can be used on skin almost anywhere on the body.
